Hello there,
since it's been a while since our last update we wanted to share a bit what we are currently working on for version v0.3.0:

Player Progression:

All Players will then require an account to log into the game.
Thus behold our new login in the main menu:

This is now actually tied to an account system running in the background.
With this we are able to keep track of the players:

  • Currency
  • Experience/Level
  • Techpoints
  • Cubes/Modules

In the current demo version of v0.2.5 the player is able to use unlimited parts from a limited set of parts. In the next Update this will be changed and parts then actually have to be bought with currency earned in battle. Unlocking of modules will then also be a thing which can be done in the techtree using techpoints (who'd have thought :) )
For version v0.3.0 the starting currency will be set a lot higher since the current playercount is too low to earn sufficient currency online. This in return means that we will do a wipe before the game goes live as full game. We are considering though to add some kind of bonus for all accounts which participate in the testing of the game in its current state.

The new Part selection menu thus now has a shop attached:


Backend Stuff:

All actions tied to login and persistent currency, techpoints and player level of cause require some work in the background. (e.g. Databases)
In addition we are preparing the currently crude matchmaking server to be able to handle more players and are testing out the current capabilities to ensure fair matches across all games.
Sadly everything backend-related can not really be shown in images...

Well and of cause bugfixes - lots of them :)
